The Symbol of Ra

The Divine Logo combined with wings becomes the Symbol of Ra and is used to represent the creative elements of nature. The Divine Logo represents the mathematics of creation while the wings represent the coming forth out of creation.

The Symbol of Ra

The Symbol of Ra is a representation of Creation and Nature. That is what the teachings of the Summum Principles are about, and that is the meaning behind Summum's use of this symbol. It indicates membership in an organization of people dedicated to attaining personal ascension, i.e., membership in the organization of Summum, and it represents the practice of the esoteric art and science of Mummification as performed by Summum initiates.

During the 1970s, the Symbol of Ra was used on clothing, in books, on letterhead, in publications, and with other materials and products made by Summum. In 1986, Summum began distributing a bottled water called "Natron" that was labeled with the symbol. The label was registered with the federal government.
